Post-season college basketball will be coming to Central Florida the first week of March as Rollins College will be hosting the 2004 Sunshine State Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament at the Alfond Sports Center on the Rollins campus. The four-day tournament runs from March 4-7 and will feature 14 games of exciting Division II college basketball.

In addition to the host Tars of Rollins College, other competing teams include Barry University, Eckerd College, Florida Southern College, Florida Tech, Lynn University, Saint Leo University and the University of Tampa.

The action begins on Thursday, March 4, with four quarterfinal men's games. The first game will tip-off at noon. Rollins, which is currently tied for first place in the conference with a 21-4 overall record and 11-2 conference mark, will play the 7:30 p.m. contest.

The women's quarterfinals will be played on Friday, March 5. The opening game will begin at noon. Rollins has already clinched the top seed for the tournament as the Tars are ranked 13th in NCAA Division II with a 22-3 record and 13-0 conference record.

The men's semifinal games will be played at noon and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 6. The women's semifinals will follow at 5:00 and 7:30 p.m.

The men's final will be played at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, with the women's final to follow. The tournament champions will receive automatic bids into the NCAA Division II Tournament.
