Join Wind River for an informative web seminar on the role multicore software plays in fully realizing the performance potential in your product design. Find out how Wind River's multicore networking technologies can give your product the competitive boost to achieve breakthrough wire-speed fast-packet forwarding.
Networks are experiencing dramatic increases in data traffic largely driven by high volumes of bandwidth-intensive multimedia content coming from wireless and wired smart devices. This exponential growth in traffic is resulting in packet-processing bottlenecks that can bring a network element to its knees and have serious implications to the overall quality of experience (QoE) for the end user.
If your network element is in the line of fire, finding a solution to efficiently and cost-effectively alleviate bottlenecks can be the difference between success and failure. Multicore technologies are quickly being designed in to products and elements throughout the network.
Equipment found in the access, edge, and core is taking advantage of the high performance capabilities offered by using multiple cores. But symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) alone does not realize the full performance potential of using multicore. A more advanced approach is needed that combines expertise in operating systems, networking protocols, and multicore silicon to meet and exceed the performance demands of today's network.
What You Will Learn
- How multicore acceleration solutions can be used to achieve wire-speed packet forwarding
- How you can increase data throughput on your existing network element design
- New ways to give your product a high-performance competitive edge
Who Should Attend
- Anyone evaluating multicore for network elements
- Chief technology officers and vice presidents of engineering
- Directors of engineering
- Product management
