His background is in a broad range of technologies including IP routing, xDSL, network security, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), IPv6, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), wireless, and next-generation networks. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from University of California, Berkeley, and a master of business administration.
