OCBC Chairman Larry Buster Leads the Charge for 2009

OCBC Chairman Larry Buster looks to 2009 as a year of opportunity. The upbeat and optimistic approach set the tone for the Annual Dinner last week where Mr. Buster was sworn in as Chair.

“The Orange County Business Council is the leading voice of business in Orange County ,” Buster proclaimed. “As we look ahead to overcome the challenges before us, that voice is louder than ever.”

Buster, Vice President, County Manager of First American Title Company celebrates his 30th anniversary with the company starting back in 1979 as an Assistant Counsel with the legal department. Today his role has expanded to include oversight of both Orange County and San Diego operations.

Buster assumes the post held in 2008 by Steve Lenzi, former Vice President of Public Affairs at the Automobile Club of Southern California. As immediate past chair, Lenzi was awarded commendations from Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, separate resolutions from Congressman john Campbell and Congressman Ken Calvert, a join Senate and Assembly resolution from the Orange County delegation, and a resolution from the orange County Board of Supervisors. Lenzi, a big baseball buff, also received an autographed jersey from Angels Manager Mike Scioscia.
