PTC is excited to announce the immediate availability of Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 Preproduction, the newest release of PTC's flagship MCAD solution -- Pro/ENGINEER. Customers on active maintenance can download Preproduction from the web.
Simple, powerful and connected, Pro/E Wildfire continues to set the standard for MCAD products. This latest release - Pro/E Wildfire 2.0 Preproduction represents an opportunity for customers to explore the new capabilities and begin to prepare for their internal roll out of this exciting new release.
Advancing the theme of usability, Pro/E Wildfire 2.0 combines a proven depth and breadth of capabilities with a new approach to model creation that redefines ease-of-use. By extending the user interface concepts introduced in Pro/E Wildfire -- and embodied by the Wildfire User Model -- to other areas of the product, Pro/E Wildfire 2.0 drives personal productivity improvements.

With a full range of associative CAD/CAM/CAE applications, including ASME Y14.41-compliant support for drawingless models, data exchange improvements like SDRC import and Associative Topology Bus interfaces with Catia V5 and UGNX, Pro/ENGINEER enhances the seamless flow of digital product information throughout the engineering processes. And with its Web services architecture, Pro/E Wildfire 2.0 Preproduction extends the accessibility of information to cross-functional teams as well as customers, partners, and suppliers, whether or not they are MCAD users.
