Conversations with Chromax

 February 2007

Hi, Conversations readers!  First thing's first--I received several e-mails from you, asking for an update on my friend Helen (remember, she's the one who was diagnosed with pre-diabetes).  I'm glad to say that with a few modifications to her diet, some exercise--she and I are still doing our neighborhood walks--and a daily dose of Chromax, she's feeling much better.  We're waiting on her final bloodwork analysis get an update on her pre-diabetic.

  Stress Less:  Avoid Secondhand Smoke
You probably know that smoking and secondhand smoke are bad for the lungs. But did you know that secondhand smoke can increase your risk for diabetes? In a recent study involving 4,500 people, elevated blood sugar levels were associated with exposure to tobacco smoke. Seventeen percent of those exposed to secondhand smoke developed blood sugar problems, which can often lead to diabetes, compared to only 12% of people who were never subjected to smoke.
