Fresh from the Galley – Sticky Buns and Coffee Cake
Nothing beats warm sticky buns and coffee cakes straight from the galley on a crisp fall day. Add them to a fall Maine Windjammer Association cruise and you have a winning combination. The next best thing to enjoying them on a windjammer is to start the day in your own kitchen with one of these hot and gooey treats. Enjoy these recipes for sticky buns and coffee cakes from the Maine Windjammer Association.
Mussels and Music at WoodenBoat Sail-In
The final gathering of the year set a few milestones. Held for the 32nd year in a row, 2018 marked only the second time ever that the event was postponed due to weather. With 100-percent chance of teeming rain and high winds forecasted, the Maine Windjammer Association made the call to postpone the annual WoodenBoat Sail-In from the second Tuesday to the second Wednesday in September. Most agreed this was a good call after more than 5-inches of rainfall fell on the regularly scheduled day of the event.
