Experience Maritime Maine!
The Maine Windjammer Association has joined a state-wide initiative to package and promote Maine’s rich maritime heritage to potential visitors to the state. EMM is a multi-layered marketing campaign supported by funding from the Maine Office of Tourism and administered by Maine Maritime Museum to mark that institution’s 50th anniversary. As a participating organization, we will partner with other cultural organizations to advance the idea of Maine’s Maritime Heritage as an exciting and alluring, conveniently-packaged experience for cultural tourists to the state. Got Campers? Going Cruising? Save 5%!
What do Maine’s summer camps have in common with windjammer cruises? Both are signature Vacationland experiences that take place in a state famous for outdoor adventure, natural scenery and fun. For parents looking for something to do while the kids are at camp, or with their kids pre/post camp, taking a 3, 4 or 5-day cruise fits in nicely.
The Maine Windjammer Association will offer a 5% discount off the regular price of a windjammer cruise for guests with children enrolled in MCE (Maine Camp Experience) camps. Offer cannot be combined with any other promotions. Please mention code MWA12 for the MCE Camps & Cruise Promotion at time of booking.
Maine vs. CT Lobster Showdown
About.com recently announced the 2012 winners of the New England Travel Readers' Choice Awards and the Maine Windjammer Association won second place in the category of “Favorite Place to Eat Lobster.” As all our loyal windjammer guests already know, the Maine lobster feast is the highlight of every cruise. Congratulations also go to the Schooner Isaac H. Evans for coming in third in the “Best Attractions” division.
