Raymond Meyer III, works at his family’s store, Meyer Appliance, in downtown Mountain View. Through the years, Meyer worked in the Delivery department, Sales department and managed the Service department for eight years. During that time he also worked for the kitchen remodeling company.

Meyer worked in the design department, gave his hand at project management and now works as a kitchen and bathroom builder.
“My first recollections of Downtown Mountain View were when I was young and we would visit my father who was a salesman at Meyer Appliance. My parents, Raymond and Dorothy Meyer owned the store. When I was in middle school, I started working on weekends and during the summer break,” said Meyer.
Meyer graduated from Awalt High School (now Mountain View High School) and furthered his education at Foothill College, De Anza College, San Jose City College, with some time spent in San Diego at the New School of Architecture. In 1992, Meyer graduated from Leadership Mountain View. Since then, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Central Business Association of Downtown Mountain View, Global Culture and Arts and Friends of Stevens Creek Trail. Recently he completed the Mountain View Citizens Police Academy.

Meyer says, “I am a single parent helping to raise my son Samuel, an active 9-year-old baseball player. I thoroughly love Mountain View and the fantastic environment we have here. Business is a cornerstone of any healthy community and I wish to continue to offer my services to foster and promote the business in our community. I hope to be worthy of the responsibility.”
