Leadership Mountain View Says Thanks to Supporters

Leadership Mountain View is still celebrating the June 8th graduation of its twelfth class and 318th alumni. However, it is also time to reflect on the fact that Leadership Mountain View would not exist without the generous support of local businesses and consultants, community leaders, and the devoted labors of countless alumni and friends of the program. Each company and individual deserves special recognition for giving back to the community.

So, the Leadership Mountain View program says a big THANK YOU!!...

... to the companies and their hosts who have sponsored program days, providing conference rooms and breakfasts, lunches, and snacks: El Camino Hospital, sgi, City of Sunnyvale, Microsoft, ALZA, Hewlett-Packard, Crittenden Middle School, NASA-Ames and the Dan and Judy Auclair Charitable Foundation.

... to the City of Mountain View and Mountain View City Council, providing expert speakers, staff support and meeting locations, such as the City of Mountain View Public Library, MV Fire Station #4, the Rengstorff Community Center, the Mountain View Police/Fire Administration Bldg, and City Council Chambers.

... to the restaurants and businesses who have sponsored food for several program days and graduation: Le Boulanger; Bank of Los Altos; Black Mountain Water; Costco Wholesale; Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria; Chevy’s; Safeway; Starbucks.

... to local businesses that have supported the program with donated and discounted services: KMVT Channel 15, Mountain View VOICE, SJ Mercury News, Weaver Photography, Copy Club, Alpha Graphics, Ellen Miner, MVCPA.

... to consultants who have provided outstanding leadership skills training at reduced fees: Laura Steck of Growth and Leadership Center; Karen Wray; Dave Nakashima; Barry Tonge, Challenge Learning Center; John Lipp, Independent Nonprofit Consultant; Chike Nwoffiah, Oriki Theatre; Sherry Simmons, Simmons Consulting; Margaret McLean, Markkula Center for Applied Ethics; Barry Vitcov, California School Leadership Academy.

... to the current and former members of the Leadership Advisory Council who have worked extremely hard over the past year to make this program a success.

... to the alumni who have helped plan and execute program days and alumni projects that are focused and excellent.

... to the many community leaders who have shared their expertise on the issues and resources for the various community themes.

... and to the Chamber members who generously donate to LMV when they renew their membership!!

Putting together a thank you list is always done at the risk of leaving someone’s name off. So, THANK YOU to each and every one who helped make the program a success this year!!
