STRAWBERRY SODA POP CAKE
1 box white cake mix (yellow can be used also)
1 (10 oz.) can strawberry soda pop
1 6oz box strawberry Jello, mixed with 1 c. hot water
Bake cake according to directions on box, in large rectangular pan. While cake is still warm, punch holes all through the cake with a fork or wooden spoon handle.
Disolve the jello in the 1c. hot water, then add soda pop. Pour slowly over the cake so that it fiils the holes.
Set in refrigerator to cool at least 4 hours before serving.
ICING: You can use cool whip alone or......even better
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding, mixed with 1 c. cold milk
1 lg. size tube Cool Whip
Mix together and ice cake. Return to refrigerator. Keep cold.
This recipe is can be easily changed to any variation of soda and a corresponding jello flavor. Orange soda and Jello are awesome.
