JOKES
Halloween is right around the corner!

HA! Made ya laugh
No silly (or corny) jokes this month... just a bunch of funny pictures!! They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I don't know who "they" are, but here are some funny Halloween pictures that we thought you might enjoy.

Bulk Up Against Cold Weather Bugs
There’s no reason to be under the weather when the seasons change.

Although the change of seasons is often greeted with cheer, there may be an underlying dread that accompanies the change. As people start to spend more time indoors, the likelihood of catching a cold or flu skyrockets. Fortunately, there are small steps you can take to lessen the chances of spending fall and winter sick.

Horoscopes
It's Written in the Stars
by Susan Miller

Hey baby, what's your sign?

Libra (September 23 - October 22)

This will be a very active important month where you can make more impressive progress than you have all summer. If you could see the pattern of planets, many of them are clustered at the key "angles" of the chart - that is, the north, south, east, and west points on the wheel. Because most of the planets this month will be in cardinal signs like yours, you'll be eager to get going on a key project.

Donate your old cell phone for a good cause
Phones go to a great cause, and you get a tax deduction

Donate your cell phone for a good cause
Recently the employees in the Mr. Ed department have donated some of their old cell phones to a great cause, and we wanted to spread the word about how you can do the same. The "Victim's Services" unit at the Chandler Police Department takes all kinds of phones (non-working phones or phones without chargers are accepted too), and they use the phones to help save lives. Read the full article to see how you can help (and get a tax deduction at the same time).

You Might Need New Tires Sooner Than You Think
Easy tests tell you when.

Eventually, you’ll need new tires. Did you know that George Washington might be a better tire-wear tester than Abraham Lincoln?

Have an Eco-Friendly Autumn
Stay green – even if the leaves don’t.

As the weather starts to cool down, many of us quickly reach for the thermostat or find ourselves turning on the lights a lot earlier in the evening. While spring and summer inspire environmentally friendly initiatives like planting trees and biking to work, autumn and winter can often put a damper on green living.
