The 2009 Range Rover Sport is available in two trims: HSE and Supercharged. The Ranger Rover Sport HSE features a 4.4-liter V8 that produces 300 hp and 315 lb/ft of torque. The Supercharged’s 4.2-liter V8 churns out a whooping 390 hp and 410 lb/ft of torque. Both engines are mated to six-speed automatic transmissions.

The Range Rover Sport uses a six-speed automatic transmission with “intelligent shift,” which adapts to your individual driving style. It’s the first Land Rover to utilize Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), which adjusts your vehicle’s speed to maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front. The Supercharged trim lives up its high-performance image, offering plenty of power, a smooth ride and responsive handling. In performance tests by Edmunds.com, the Supercharged Range Rover Sport powered from zero-to-60 mph in a very impressive 7.1 seconds. In addition, this SUV boasts an impressive towing capacity of 7,716 pounds.
Sit inside the Rover Range Sport, and you’ll be at the heart of the action. The Sport’s cockpit design features a dash that’s both simple and elegant. Inspect the fine wood trim and high-quality leather and carpeting – details you don’t often find in a vehicle with this kind off-road capability. While you’re exploring the road less traveled, you and your passengers will have a clear view thanks to elevated stadium seating and large windows. The Range Rover Sport seats five adults comfortably. Cargo space tops 71 cubic feet with rear seats that fold to create a flat load floor.
The Luxury Interior Package takes comfort to another level with a front-seat cooler box, walnut accents, leather seats and Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS). For the colder climes, choose the Cold Climate Package that includes two-stage heated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated front windshield and heated washer jets.
