MERCATOR GROUP ADVISES ENVIRONMENTAL MARKET SOLUTIONS IN SALE TO CARRIER CORPORATION
 

Wayland, MA, February 27, 2008 - Mercator Group LLC is pleased to announce that Carrier Corporation, a unit of United Technologies Corporation, has acquired Environmental Market Solutions, Inc., an environmental and green building consulting company with offices in Washington, D.C., Missouri, Beijing and Shanghai.  Mercator Group initiated the transaction and acted as the exclusive advisor to EMSI.   Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Established in 2000, EMSI provides sustainable design consulting services to building developers and owners to create energy-efficient and LEED-certified buildings. EMSI has been involved in many high profile commercial projects in China and the United States. EMSI President Kenneth Langer and the company's management team will continue in their respective roles under Carrier Corp.
