Vehicle Comparisons: The 2012 GMC Acadia vs. the 2012 Honda Pilot
The Acadia offers more of what matters.

Photo: The 2012 GMC Acadia
A family vehicle has to meet all your people- and stuff-hauling needs while at the same time being powerful enough to inspire confidence, flexible enough to fill the quick-changing needs of a family, and safe enough to protect your brood, right? It wouldn’t hurt for that vehicle to be good to drive as well. That seemingly impossible list of requirements describes crossover vehicles pretty well, and two of the top players are the GMC Acadia and Honda Pilot. However, only the Acadia offers more of what buyers crave.

Car Care: When it’s Your 35,000-Mile Service
Simple tips can help save your investment.

Photo: When it’s Your 35,000-Mile Service
At less than 35,000 miles, most new cars are still under warranty, so anything that breaks prematurely, such as a leaking brake caliper or a burned out wiper motor, should be fixed at no cost. However, warranties don’t generally cover wear and tear items like brake pads and wiper blades, so it’s important to check those regularly and replace as needed for proper function and safety. Regular maintenance is important to protect your investment and prevent problems later, after that new-car warranty expires.

Rewriting History
The most historically inaccurate films of all time.

Photo: Rewriting History
Let’s be honest for a second – real life isn’t always as interesting as it is portrayed to be in movies. Characters in films never spend a solid 40 minutes trying to figure out online banking or sitting in traffic. It’s no surprise then that many a historically based film had to jazz up a thing or two to get people into the theater. Because let’s face it, who is going to pay to see Bill Brings his Daughter to Soccer then Does Some Light Yard Work Before Catching the Last Half of RoboCop on TBS?
