Team Maxxis Cyclocross
As temperatures cool, the cross season heats up – and so does the record of Team Maxxis Cyclocross.
Competing in the Cross Crusade, Adam McGrath recently won two Under-23 events in Portland, Oregon. Meanwhile, Geoff Kabush took third place at the Star Crossed event, held September 30 in Redmond, Washington. Not to be outdone, Mathieu Toulouse and Melissa Thomas had two great rides at the Crank Brothers Gran Prix of Cyclocross, held October 7-8 in Gloucester, Massachusetts: Toulouse and Thomas each finished in the top six for both races.

Adams and Napolitan Win Dew Cups
Whatever the discipline, you can’t stop riders on the brand of champions: Maxxis riders Anthony Napolitan and Nate Adams each took titles in the Dew Action Sports Tour. The five-city tour concluded with the Playstation Pro, held October 12-15 in Orlando, Florida.
Napolitan used a no-handed front flip, a double tailwhip, a 360 turndown and a double-tailwhip 360 to clinch the BMX dirt competition, locking up the championship after a dazzling performance throughout the series.

Maxxis on Taiwan’s Top 10 Global Brand List for 4th Straight Year
In a sign of the continuing success of its brand strategy, Maxxis has been named one of Taiwan’s Top 10 Global Brands for the fourth year in a row. The company ranked sixth on the prestigious 2006 Interbrand list, and received the award at a ceremony held September 27.
Maxxis was one of only four non-high tech companies to make the list, and the only one of Taiwan’s many tire companies to achieve top ten ranking.

Maxxis Roars into NOPI Nationals
With wildly popular drifting demos, the Maxxis support rig on display, and great swag for fans, Maxxis was the brand to watch at the NOPI Nationals Motorsports Supershow. Held September 16-17 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the event drew crowds estimated at more than 100,000, along with extensive TV coverage from cable’s SPEED Channel.

Maxxis Takes Off-Road Drivers to the Top of the Podium
They can’t be stopped: Maxxis’ off-road teams overcame every obstacle in their path to take huge victories in September.
Just six weeks after clinching the W.E.ROCK championship, driver Danny Rohrer and spotter Chad Rolfert won the modified class championship in the UROC East series. The two sealed their title at the UROC Pro Nationals in Hazelton, Pennsylvania, held September 30 – October 1. Driver Dan Patterson and spotter Bob Roggy won the stock class at the W.E.ROCK Grand National Championship, held September 22-24 in Boyd, Texas.

Get Dirt Wise with Shane Watts’ New DVD
Lots of riders, both pro and amateur, enjoy riding motorcycles off-road. But fans could look high and low without finding a DVD that would provide quality instruction for this demanding sport. Until now.
Longtime Maxxis rider Shane Watts, in cooperation with Maxxis, has produced Dirt Wise, an instructional DVD to be released by early November. Shot in his native Australia, the DVD features “all the skills necessary for off-road motorcycle riding,” according to Watts.
