4 National Titles for Maxxis Riders; Kabush Is Canadian National XC Champ
Across North America, temperatures are soaring – and so are Maxxis’ sponsored riders, racking up four national championships in just one weekend despite every challenge that came their way.

In a double victory for Maxxis, Ryan Trebon of Kona Les Gets and Georgia Gould of the LUNA Chix won the men’s and women’s NORBA National Mountain Bike Championships. Trebon never relinquished the lead he established at the start of the four-lap men’s race, winning in 2:02.24. As he told velonews.com, “I was hurting on that last lap but I just said, ‘There's no way I'm going to give this away. I've been out here for an hour and forty minutes by myself, and I'm not going to give it away’... The heat was getting to me and I went through like eight water bottles. I was just trying to keep it together. But this is a good one."

Q&A with Maxxis' Creighton King
It’s a good thing that Creighton King enjoys driving. After all, on a typical day, the former pro rock crawler is on the road from 8:00 a.m. to as late as midnight, taking the Maxxis support truck to events all over the country.

King recently took a few minutes – while traveling, naturally – to talk with MaxxDaddy about the ups and downs of life on the road.

Ricky Dietrich Takes His 1st WORCS Victory
Getting there took a lot of hard work – but for Ricky Dietrich, the payoff was sweet: his first WORCS race win.

“I got the holeshot and led the entire thing from start to finish,” he told MaxxDaddy. Crossing the finish line was definitely the highlight, he added, because at that point, “You know you made it, and you know you actually did it. You’re kind of shaking the whole time.” Cycle News described the excitement in its June 28 issue: “Dietrich rocketed around the outside of the first turn when the gate dropped, taking full advantage of the berm to grab the lead and practically seal the win.” Round 7 was held June 11 in Washougal, Washington.

At GNCC Summer Break, 4 of Top 5 ATVs Ride Maxxis Razr
When you have four of the top five in a sport, you know you’re doing something right. And that’s certainly the case with Maxxis and the GNCC: As the series moves into its summer break, Maxxis dominates the overall top five and has swept the top three.

Longtime champ Bill Ballance leads the pack with 226 points. Taking his first win of the season at the Maxxis General in March, he nabbed his second victory at Loretta Lynn’s, and went into the summer break with wins at the Tire Balls Spartan and the Parts Unlimited Wisp, both in June. In a season of intense competition – much of it from the other half of the “Killer B’s,” Chris Borich – Ballance is prevailing.
