MA-Z1 Rated Best in Braking by Street Commodores Magazine
Maxxis’ MA-Z1 Victra was rated best in braking in comparison tests by Street Commodores, an Australian motoring magazine. In its May issue, the publication rated seven tires in seven categories, and praised the Maxxis ultra high performance radial: “The Maxxis was a great all-round performer…they performed particularly well in the stopping distance test, suggesting that their sustainable braking Gs were quite good.”

Maxxis Supports Community with Family Fun Ride
Community service is an important part of the Maxxis corporate culture – and that’s why the company was proud to present the third annual Off-Road Family Fun Ride, benefiting the Dream House for Medically Fragile Children.
Held May 7 at Aonia Pass Motocross and Off-Road Park in Washington, Georgia, the event featured 87 riders and raised more than $21,000. Although rainy weather put the motocross and peewee tracks off-limits, several riders tackled the 10-mile woods trail - and Maxxis’ sponsored rider Allen Gravitt, a 17-time SERTRA off-road champ, was on hand to sign posters and t-shirts.

Baja 500: Maxxis 1st & 2nd in Overall ATV; Tie for 1st in 30+ Motorcycle
The Baja 500 is one of the most grueling races in the world – so tough, in fact, that this year almost half the teams which started failed to finish.
But Temecula Motorsports and Alba Factory Honda had an edge: they were riding Maxxis, tires tailor-made for tough terrain. And that Maxxis advantage, along with skill and determination, led to an electrifying 1-2 finish for the two teams in the overall ATV category, plus an unprecedented tie for first place in the 30+ motorcycle class. The Baja 500 was held June 2-4 in Ensenada, Mexico.

Maxxis Takes Joe Haavisto Wherever He Goes
Joe Haavisto has put everything he’s got into the current ATVA ITP Moose National season – and it shows. In seven out of the first eight races, he finished in the top ten. And the season’s not over yet.
So far, Haavisto is pleased with his fourth year as a pro: “I guess I’ve basically been reaching my goals. This is a goal-reaching season. I wanted to race full-time as much as possible and spend lots of time practicing. In California, finishing fifth was pretty awesome, because after a long winter of practicing, it was exciting to finally reach my goals and show that everything is coming together. This should be a good year.”
