Maxxis Adds New R&D Centers in Asia and US
In an ambitious expansion of its research and development capabilities, Maxxis will finish construction of three new technical centers in Asia and the United States during the next eight months.
Construction is complete on the first new center, near Shanghai, China. Workers are currently putting the finishing touches on the six-story, 143,182-square-foot facility, which will employ 200 engineers. Plans are also underway for construction of a nearby world-class proving ground, expected to open in 2008.

At SEMA 2005, the Story Was Maxxis
For aftermarket automotive products, the 2005 SEMA Show was the place to be – and Maxxis was right in the middle of all the action, with a high-traffic booth, three vehicles and an exciting new product on display.
Held October 31-November 3 in Las Vegas, Nevada, this year’s show drew more than 50,000 buyers, according to semashow.com. Many of those visitors took in Maxxis’ new 22” version of the MA-S2 Marauder, the high performance tire for light trucks and SUV’s introduced earlier this year.

Maxxis and Yamaha Partner to Produce OE Tire for Rhino
In a two-year joint effort, engineers with Maxxis and Yamaha have created original equipment tires for all four models of the Rhino, Yamaha’s cutting edge ATV. A two-seat vehicle with a five-valve engine, the Rhino has a 400-pound capacity bed.
Maxxis supplies the M951 and the M952 for use with the Rhino. “We’re very pleased with the outcome of this project.

K&M Sponsors Breakfast for Maxxis
It’s always nice to get a gift – and it’s even nicer when that gift comes from a valued customer.
A recent meeting at Maxxis’ North American headquarters featured a catered breakfast courtesy of Wayne Kirby of K&M Tires, a Maxxis customer for over 15 years. More than 100 employees enjoyed pastries, coffee and juice while listening to a talk from Maxxis International President Wally Chen at the meeting, which was held October 28.
