Maxxis’ Riders Triumph at NORBA #7
If proof is needed that winners ride Maxxis, NORBA #7 provided it: The company’s sponsored riders won eight races and a total of 21 spots on the podium. The event was held August 18-21 in Snowshoe, West Virginia.

Team Maxxis’ Geoff Kabush battled to first place in men’s cross country despite a muddy, technical course and a serious challenge from another rider. Riding ADvantage in front and Medusa in the rear, Kabush took a decisive lead in the last lap, giving the crowd a “V for victory” sign as he crossed the finish line. The strong finish put Kabush, the defending champion, in the lead for the men’s cross country title. Teammate Mathieu Toulouse also did well, finishing in ninth place despite a mishap early in the race.

Maxxis Riders Take Crankworx by Storm
Spectators watching the podiums at the Crankworx Freeride Mountain Bike Festival saw Maxxis’ riders in almost every top spot. The festival was held August 3-7 in Whistler, British Columbia.

Maxxis swept the podium in the Jim Beam Air Downhill, with a victory for Siemens Cannondale’s Cedric Gracia in 4:15.61, a second place spot for Brian Lopes in 4:16.35, and Steve Peat rounding out the top three in 4:16.45.

The Next Level in Light Truck Performance: the MA-S2 Marauder
What if a driver could design the ultimate light truck tire? What would the ultimate tire have to offer?

Just like the MA-S2 Marauder, a driver’s ideal tire would deliver great performance in any weather. It would have an open shoulder design to expel water, and would feature a unidirectional tread pattern ready to take anything the elements can dish out.

CORR: Eller Makes His Mark with Maxxis
It’s easy to see why spectators love off-road racing. But something special is required to motivate the drivers who spend large chunks of time competing on the pro circuit.

What whets Randy Eller’s appetite for competition? “The start is probably the biggest rush of the race. They line everybody up and you shoot for the corner at about 100 miles per hour.”

Clowers and Adams Take Medals for Maxxis
Maxxis hit the podium at X Games 11, as Tommy Clowers took the gold and Nate Adams added two bronze medals to his collection.

Clowers was the only rider to reach 32’ in the Moto X Step UP finals, according to EXPN.com, soaring above the expectations of fans and the press. "Nobody really talked to me or did interviews with me before the event,” Clowers told EXPN. “I didn't mind because it took some pressure off me." Clowers is no stranger to the X Games podium, having taken the gold from 2000-2002, the silver in 2003 and the bronze in 2004.

Summer Break Is No Slack Time for Chris Borich
He’s one half of what gnccracing.com calls the “Killer B’s" (the other being legendary champ Bill Ballance). At just 23, Chris Borich has established himself in the top ranks of GNCC ATV racers, racking up three victories in 2005 alone: the Lone Star, the Orange Crush and the Big Buck.

And while some riders who’ve suffered a broken collarbone might take advantage of the summer break to relax, Borich is determined not to let an injury slow him down. Proving he’s a tough contender, he’s continued to train and race after his mishap at the Wisp in late June. “After about two weeks, I got on the bike and rode. Then I did a six-hour race, and I’ve been hitting as many local races as I can,” Borich told MaxxDaddy.
