Maxxis Showcases New Products at Interbike

With the introduction of five new products, Maxxis was a big hit at the Interbike trade show, held September 23-26 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Radiale 22c and 23c, the Aspen, the new Ardent 29er 2.40, the Mud Wrestler and the Modular Valve System were all big hits with buyers, who crowded the Maxxis booth.

Ř      The world’s only true radial bicycle tire, the Radiale is designed to deliver the most supple ride of any clincher tire. With a true radial 75° casing, this tire lets the sidewall bend and flex for improved riding efficiency over a standard clincher tire.

Ř      The newest addition to Maxxis’ cross country line, the Aspen, debuted in 26” and 29” sizes. The new, larger 29" size is built to be light and hold momentum, while offering a smoother rolling ride. The 29” size also delivers a larger contact patch for better grip, while the 26” is a light, fast race tire with great cornering traction

Ř      Maxxis’ popular Ardent model is now available in a new larger size. With higher volume for a plush ride and outstanding traction, the 29x2.40 Ardent is designed to deliver for every mountain discipline.

Ř      Maxxis’ latest cyclocross tire, the Mud Wrestler, is an all-conditions race tire, equipped with continuous ramped center knobs made to roll fast, while the aggressive side knobs power through the nastiest mud and snow.

Ř      The newest tube technology for customizing bikes, the Maxxis Modular Valve System allows a rider to hang on to the valve stem – even when the tube is replaced. Separation of the tube and valve stem allows riders to choose valve lengths and custom colors - without having to deal with finicky valve extenders

Visitors who saw Maxxis’ hottest new products were also treated to fabulous giveaways, including posters, musette bags, stickers, catalogs, autograph cards, lanyards and hats.

In a testament to the show’s enduring appeal, Interbike thrived even in a down economy, increasing its attendance slightly from 2008. According to the show’s organizers, Interbike attracted more than 22,500 exhibitors and attendees, who saw products from more than 1,100 exhibiting brands.

Maxxis’ staff is already looking forward to next year’s show. For more information on exciting new Maxxis products, please visit your local Maxxis retailer.
