Here’s hoping their trophy shelves can hold the weight: As the 2007 season came to a close, Maxxis riders took home numerous awards. A few of the highlights:

• At the annual GNCC motorcycle banquet, GNCC Womens’ Champion Amanda Mastin won the Sportsman of the Year Award for putting together fund-raisers for the U.S. ISDE Team. Up-and-coming rider Walker Fowler was named Youth Rider of the Year. The banquet was held November 24 in Cranberry, Pennsylvania.
  
• Maxxis rider Matt Karlsen took the 2007 WORCS Racing/Pro Circuit Privateer of the Year Award,
  designated for the top finishing pro without factory support in the WORCS Series.
