Maxxis Sweeps Moto at Dew Tour Vans Invitational

The FMX podium was Maxxis territory at the Dew Tour Vans Invitational, held August 16-19 in Portland, Oregon.

Fresh from his X Games victory, Adam Jones took the top spot with wins in both the prelim and the finals. His performance earned praise from astdewtour.com: “Busting out his signature Stripper flip, Shaolin flip and a surprise cliffhanger flip – a trick that only one other rider does on the 75-footer – Adam Jones pushed his way to the top…”

Like true champions, both Nate Adams and Mike Mason overcame injuries to take their places on the podium. Adams earned second place despite a broken finger, with “super-clean tricks like the flip nac-nac to heel clicker, a backflip cliffhanger and a lazy-boy backflip” according to astdewtour.com. Having racked up 275 points during three events, Adams currently leads in the race for the Dew Tour cup, with Jones in second place.

After dislocating his knee while performing a cliffhanger in the prelim, Mason faced an even greater challenge. He iced his knee and came back to the finals with what astdewtour.com called “his usual repertoire of tricks” – including the cliffhanger that had injured him earlier.

Maxxis congratulates Adam Jones on his victory and Nate Adams and Mike Mason on their fine performances.
