Showing strong growth and employing a successful brand strategy, Maxxis has made the top ten of Interbrand’s list of Taiwan’s top global brands for the fifth consecutive year. The company was eighth in the prestigious ranking, announced July 26 in Taiwan.
Maxxis’ brand value, currently estimated at $309 million US, has increased 14% over the last year. Maxxis is the only tire manufacturer to make Interbrand’s list, which has been expanded this year to include 20 companies.
In commentary accompanying the award, Interbrand noted the strength of the Maxxis brand and the company’s effective strategy for brand support: “Ranked #12 in the global tire market and the Taiwan market leader, Maxxis has had a strong year, with growing market share and a sustained price premium. The brand maintains its exposure through international sponsorship deals; its adoption by General Motors as a major supplier also strengthens its brand reputation. Further, Maxxis has plans to set up hundreds of ‘Centres of Excellence’ service centers in the UK to boost its brand image.”
Interbrand compiles its annual list by evaluating thousands of companies, basing its rankings on factors including brand strength and earnings attributable to the brand.
Maxxis is honored by this award and thanks Interbrand for this recognition. The company also extends its thanks to more than 15,000 employees around the world, whose hard work and dedication have built the Maxxis brand.
