Bailey Takes W.E.ROCK Western Nationals Title

After a clean sweep of all four events, Troy Bailey took W.E.ROCK’s Western US Nationals championship. Bailey locked up his title with an outstanding performance at the last regular season contest of 2007, held June 30 at the Donner Ski Ranch in California.

Bailey said his Creepy Crawlers performed well on “the most difficult obstacle courses I’ve ever been to. They’ve never pushed our class like this before - not even close. I’m almost speechless about that last event. We pulled up, and I told Travis [spotter Travis Heslington], ‘I don’t know if these are even doable.’ We stuck to our plan, and we aced every bonus line we came across. It was a very memorable experience.”

Heslington was instrumental in the team’s performance, according to Bailey: “There’s no way I could have done it without him. We’re 50/50, in it as a team.”

Even though he’s swept the western series with four perfect performances, Bailey isn’t resting on his laurels. “We’re not celebrating yet. We’ve got to win the Grand Nationals in September and then the World Championships in Australia,” he said.

Maxxis congratulates Troy Bailey and Travis Heslington on their championship and wishes them the best in their upcoming contests.
