Maxxis Takes CORR Victories

Maxxis triumphed at the latest CORR race, with Robert Naughton taking his fourth Pro Lite victory of the season and Troy Morgan winning the Single Buggy class. Jeff Knupp joined Morgan on the podium with a third place finish. The races were held June 9-10 in Chula Vista, California.

Naughton said his Bighorns are a major factor in his success this season: “The tires are working flawless. They’re doing everything I need them to do. We get great starts and excellent traction. We keep winning: We’re six races into the season, and we have four wins.”

Morgan, competing on a course that offered both muddy and hardpack conditions, rode MA-751s and MA-T1s. He noted that his Maxxis tires gave him an edge on his competition. “They really worked out well for me on Sunday. They just seemed to give me the right bite,” he said. “It took six races to finally get the car to where I wanted it to be, and it just all clicked.”

Knupp, also on MA-751s and MA-T1s, echoed Morgan’s praise. “They worked great. They’re definitely hooking up in all the turns, and I definitely felt that they gave me that little bit of extra traction to get by some of those guys. They’re great tires, and I absolutely have no complaints about them,” he said. “The race went well. I kind of got a bad start, but I got back up in third place. You’re definitely trying to pick and choose your way through…I was definitely glad to get Maxxis back on the podium.”

The next CORR race is scheduled for September 15-16 in Lancaster, California. Maxxis congratulates Robert Naughton and Troy Morgan on their victories and Jeff Knupp on his fine performance.
