Bray Wins on Trepadors at XRRA
Rusty Bray took his Trepadors to the top of the podium at the June 2 XRRA race in Gray Rock, Alabama, taking first place after holding the lead throughout the day.
Bray, a rock crawler for six years prior to running the XRRA series this year, said his tires were “actually, pretty flawless. The rock racing is probably harder on the tires than anything I’ve done so far because of the jumps and the banks and [going] over the rocks. I think rock racing puts the tires through more abuse even than rock crawling. The Trepador has a larger sidewall than anything I’ve ever had, so it seems like that sidewall holds up better. This has been my first year with Maxxis, and it’s been a wonderful ride.”
The park in Gray Rock also received high marks from Bray: “There were longer courses and faster times being put up, and the course was a lot faster. It seemed to be a lot smoother than the first race. This Gray Rock park worked real well; the layout for spectators and drivers and, I assume, for organizers was really good.”
Maxxis congratulates Rusty Bray on his victory and wishes him the best at his next XRRA event, scheduled for June 30 in Hannibal, Missouri.
