Longtime Maxxis rider Shane Watts, in cooperation with Maxxis, has produced Dirt Wise, an instructional DVD to be released by early November. Shot in his native Australia, the DVD features “all the skills necessary for off-road motorcycle riding,” according to Watts. Fans can watch him demonstrate riding techniques during more than one hour of instruction, as a fellow rider narrates. “There’s a huge market out there of people who ride motorcycles in the woods,’ Watts notes. “You’re facing different challenges out there. This [DVD] addresses those challenges that you face whether you’re riding with your friends or racing.”

Watts knows all about those challenges: He’s won motorcycle titles all over the world, including the 2000 GNCC Motorcycle Championship and six Australian Enduro championships. Competing in the US since 1999, Watts recently won the final round of the 2006 National Hare Scrambles in New Jersey.
