Adams and Napolitan Win Dew Cups
Whatever the discipline, you can’t stop riders on the brand of champions: Maxxis riders Anthony Napolitan and Nate Adams each took titles in the Dew Action Sports Tour. The five-city tour concluded with the Playstation Pro, held October 12-15 in Orlando, Florida.

Napolitan used a no-handed front flip, a double tailwhip, a 360 turndown and a double-tailwhip 360 to clinch the BMX dirt competition, locking up the championship after a dazzling performance throughout the series.

Napolitan, who also won the opening round of the tour back in June, told dewactionsportstour.com that he’s not resting on his laurels: “I’m pretty stoked that the run that I did gave me the win Friday night; I have a new trick that I was going to do, but now I can save it for next year. I still have a lot of things on my mind that I want to do.” Napolitan received $75,000 for the championship and $15,000 for winning the day’s event. The Ohio native has had a banner year, taking a bronze medal in dirt jump at the X Games in August.

Just two weeks after winning the LG World Championship, Nate Adams clinched his first Dew Cup by winning the FMX qualifier at the Playstation Pro. Adams, who held a commanding lead going into the finals, won the prelim with a score of 94.17, guaranteeing his championship – and the $75,000 cash prize. He finished third in the final run to fellow Maxxis rider Mike Mason, who took the first major victory of his career.

Adams was jubilant about his title: “Ever since I was injured last year and couldn’t compete, I’ve wanted to win this championship so bad. It feels so great to finally win, I’m just speechless.” Adams took two other victories in the five-city tour, winning the Panasonic Open in June and the Toyota Challenge in September.

The Playstation event also saw an outstanding performance from Maxxis’ Dave Mirra, returning to the pro circuit after a serious injury during practice for the X Games in August. Mirra took fourth place for the day in BMX park.

Maxxis congratulates all of these fine riders and thanks them for choosing the brand of champions.
