It’s official: Danny Rohrer, along with spotter Chad Rolfert, has taken the W.E.ROCK series championship in the modified class. Rohrer clinched the title at the last Eastern Pro Nationals for 2006, held August 11-13 in Hannibal, Missouri.
Rohrer and Rolfert dominated the event, maintaining a lead of more than 60 points throughout. They went into the contest holding a solid lead for the overall title.
Rohrer praises Maxxis’ Trepadors as instrumental to his championship. “I’ll continue to run them as long as I’m out there,” he said. “I’ve said it before: I think they’re the strongest tire out there. It’s just something else when you see 10-15 people in front of you who can’t take an obstacle. And then when you can take it, it’s an awesome feeling. It’s happened several times this year and I attribute a lot of it to the tires.”
As he has throughout the season, Rohrer also credits Rolfert’s contribution to the team’s success. “He’s been on his game pretty good this year,” Rohrer noted.
Rohrer wasn’t the only Maxxis driver to finish the Eastern Pro Nationals in a strong position: Jessie Haines took second place overall in the super modified class and Drew Goldie nabbed third in the modified category.
Maxxis congratulates these fine drivers and their spotters, and thanks them for proving again that Maxxis is the brand of champions.
