Rock Crawling 2006: Maxxis No Stranger to The Podium
In just a few short years Maxxis has become a force to be reckoned with in professional rock crawling – and in 2006, the proof can be found on the podium. Maxxis has managed an impressive six first place finishes and a total of 21 podium appearances so far this season. Highlights of the season include:
  • Bruce Zeller winning the Super Mod class at the UROC Pro Nationals in May. He captured another victory in the Unlimited class at a W.E.ROCK event in Utah. Zeller also has a third place finish to his credit from an earlier June event, the UROC Pro Nationals.
  • Marty Hart already has five podiums in 2006, including a first place finish in the Unlimited class at a June W.E.ROCK event. He’s taken two second place spots in the Super Mod class at UROC events in May and June and two third place spots at W.E.ROCK events in May and July.
  • Danny Rohrer won the Modified class at a UROC event in April, and followed up with second place in Pro Modified at a W.E.ROCK contest in May, a third place showing in the Modified class at another UROC event in June, and the second spot on the podium in Pro Modified at a W.E.ROCK event in July.
  • Troy Bailey has racked up a victory at a W.E.ROCK contest in June plus a second place showing at another W.E.ROCK event in April, both in the Stock Modified class.
  • Drew Goldie won the Pro Modified class at a W.E.ROCK event in July, and in April took second place in Modified at a UROC contest.
  • Jessie Haines has taken two second place finishes, in Super Modified at UROC in April, and in Unlimited at a W.E.ROCK event in May. Haines also nabbed third place in Unlimited at a W.E.ROCK contest in June.
  • Ben Hanks took third place in Modified at the UROC Pro Nationals in June.
  • Weston Blackie took third place in the Open class at the XRRA Rock Race in Moab, Utah, held in April.
