Maxxis Supports Community with Family Fun Ride
Community service is an important part of the Maxxis corporate culture – and that’s why the company was proud to present the third annual Off-Road Family Fun Ride, benefiting the Dream House for Medically Fragile Children.

Held May 7 at Aonia Pass Motocross and Off-Road Park in Washington, Georgia, the event featured 87 riders and raised more than $21,000. Although rainy weather put the motocross and peewee tracks off-limits, several riders tackled the 10-mile woods trail - and Maxxis’ sponsored rider Allen Gravitt, a 17-time SERTRA off-road champ, was on hand to sign posters and t-shirts.

A Volunteer of the Year award was presented to Penni Tench, and Georgia Tech’s Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, the top fundraisers, received a new United Motors DTF 150 dirt bike.

Located in Gwinnett County, home of Maxxis’ North American headquarters, the Dream House works to increase opportunities for medically fragile children to live in a stable, permanent home environment. The Family Fun Ride is just the first event this year that Maxxis is sponsoring for this fine organization: the Dream House 500 presented by Maxxis, a 500-kilometer sport/adventure tour, is scheduled for October 7.
