Maxxis Riders Take Podiums at Sea Otter
Maxxis was a strong presence at the 16th annual Sea Otter Classic: the company’s sponsored riders took multiple victories and podiums at the four-day race, held April 6-9 in Monterey, California.

Maxxis riders took all four top spots in the men’s downhill: Jared Graves of Team Yeti took the top spot, and Fabien Barel of Kona Les Gets nabbed second place, while Team Maxxis’ John Kirkcaldie took third and Cedric Gracia of Commencal rounded out the top four.

Gracia, Graves, and Kirkcaldie also took the top three spots, respectively, in the men’s gravity omnium.

In men’s cross country, Bart Brentjens of Team Giant took second place in Stage 1, and Ralph Naef of Multivan Merida nabbed fourth place. Naef then earned the victory in Stage 2, with Geoff Kabush of Team Maxxis in the fourth place spot.

World champion and Olympic gold medalist Gunn-Rita Dahle took the victory in three out of four stages of women’s cross country, while Georgia Gould of the LUNA Chix took third place in Stage 1.

Sabrina Jonnier of Monster Energy/Iron Horse/Mad Catz won the women’s dual slalom, with Tracey Moseley of Kona Les Gets in third place. Gracia took second place in the men’s event, and Barel took the fourth place spot. Jonnier also took second place in the women’s gravity omnium, while Moseley placed fifth.

Maxxis congratulates all of these fine riders on their outstanding performances.
