Maxxis’ HFR Motorsports Wins SCORE Series Event, Leads in Point Standings
Rain, sleet, snow, and even flash floods couldn’t stop them: Racing on just one set of Bighorns in freakishly bad weather, the Maxxis-sponsored HFR Motorsports team won the latest SCORE event, the Baja 250. The race was held March 11 in San Felipe, Mexico, and the team now leads the prestigious series in Class 7S point standings.

According to driver Scott Robinson, one of four team members who competed in San Felipe, the Bighorns were “flawless. Not one flat at all. They did great.” The Bighorn’s performance, he added, stood in contrast to the tires ridden by other teams: “As we rode, we would just see flats all along the route.” Robinson, along with teammates Mike Horner, Chuck Foreman, and Carl Sosa, gave an outstanding performance over the 250-mile course. “Winning this race was a major highlight for us and for Maxxis,” Robinson said.

The team had an auspicious start to the season with a second-place finish at the SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge earlier this year. Their next scheduled SCORE event is the Baja 500, to be held in June.
