Maxxis Sponsors High Speed Action with Time Attack
For Maxxis, 2006 is the Year of High Performance – and the company is off to a roaring start by sponsoring Time Attack, a series that will offer the best in racing action at sites all across the US.

Originating in Japan but gaining popularity in the US at a rapid pace, Time Attack is a sport with rules that can be explained in simple terms. According to eurotuner magazine “You take a street-tuned car with DOT tires and take it around a track. The goal is to get the fastest time possible in your class.” If last year’s series is any indicator, 65-70 drivers will compete in each event.

Many of those drivers will cover Time Attack’s 2-3 mile courses on Maxxis’ MA-Z1 Victra, the ultra high performance radial which offers excellent cornering and handling stability, superior wet and dry traction, and swift response at high speeds. And in addition to making the best possible tire for this cutting edge sport, Maxxis is offering a contingency for the top three finishers in each of the seven classes.

The schedule for this exciting series is below. Be sure to check Maxxis.com throughout the year for the latest Time Attack news, and to find out more about the MA-Z1 Victra.
