In the 2005 GNCC ATV series, Maxxis ruled.
Race after race saw the company’s sponsored riders taking the overwhelming majority of the top spots, as in the Yadkin Valley Stomp, where Maxxis took eight of the top ten places, and the Unadilla and Mountaineer events - both races in which Maxxis swept the top five.
Bill Ballance, long a member of the Maxxis family, won his sixth consecutive championship with a victory at St. Clairsville, with one race still to go before the finale, and despite a serious injury sustained during the summer break. Ballance was followed in the overall standings by Chris Borich, who took second place. The fierce competition between the two throughout the season led gnccracing.com to dub them “the Killer B’s.”
Other Maxxis riders who shined by placing in the overall top ten include, in order: Chris Jenks, fourth; Matt Smiley, fifth; Brandon Ballance, sixth; and Bryan Baker, seventh.
Maxxis is proud to support these outstanding riders, and thanks them for proving yet again that Maxxis is the brand of champions.
