With a booth at the biggest open space, landscaping and grounds care management event in Europe, Maxxis International UK plc was able to show visitors its complete line of turf tires. Held September 6-8 at Windsor Racecourse on the banks of the River Thames, the IOG Saltex show featured a wide range of items for care of everything from parks to playing fields.
The booth wasn’t the only place to view outstanding Maxxis products: at a separate exhibit, the Turfmaxx tire could be seen displayed on the 20,000th machine produced by Ransomes Textron, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of turf machines. The Turfmaxx is the result of a joint effort by Maxxis and Dupont, and provides superb durability and puncture resistance with two Kevlar® belts.
Maxxis’ Turfmaxx eliminates 95% of all punctures in the tread area. Where non-Kevlar® belted tires may have as many as 60 to 70 punctures in a cutting season, the Turfmaxx will have as few as one – and can sometimes eliminate puncture problems entirely. As a result, sales have grown to include both light and heavy users of turf machines.
Maxxis officials were pleased that many Turfmaxx converts visited the booth to express their satisfaction, and reported high traffic and numerous product inquiries throughout the show. In light of its success at IOG Saltex, Maxxis is reviewing plans to attend similar shows on the European continent.
