With Maxxis tires on their bikes and the orange logo on their jerseys, Siemens Cannondale is dominating the intensely competitive European cycling scene in 2005 – and winning races on two other continents as well.
Christoph Sauser, Cedric Gracia, Frederick Kessiakoff, and Tinker Juarez have achieved spectacular results so far this season, justifying the faith of their many fans.
Sauser has won the IXS Swiss Bike Classic, the World Cup cross country race in Willingen, Germany, and the Swisspower Cup 2005. He also took podiums at two other World Cup cross country events, placing second in Houffalize, Belgium and third in Madrid, Spain.
Gracia has taken four podiums: second and third at World Cup mountain cross events in Austria and Germany; second at the Down to the Bottom Eliminator in Austria; and second at the Siemens Megavalanche in Peru. Gracia also finished sixth in the downhill at the Sea Otter Classic in the U.S.
Kessiakoff has taken podiums as well, with third place finishes at the World Cup cross country in Austria, the World Cup Marathon in Italy, and the Liquigas Cup (also in Italy) to his credit. Kessiakoff took sixth place at the first World Cup cross country race of the year in Belgium.
Not to be outdone by his teammates, Juarez has racked up a string of victories in the U.S.: the 12 Hours of Tsali, the 24 Hours of Temecula, and the 12 Hours of Razorback.
