Maxxis Pitches in to Help Dream House for Medically Fragile Children
Sharing time and resources to benefit our community is a top priority at Maxxis. That’s why, for the second year in a row, Maxxis sponsored the Dream House Family Fun Ride to benefit the Dream House for Medically Fragile Children. Located in Gwinnett County, home of Maxxis’ U.S. headquarters, the organization provides therapeutic, family-centered settings for abused and neglected children whose medical conditions prevent their placement with foster families.

Held April 24 at Aonia Pass Motocross Park in Washington, Georgia, the event raised over $35,000 for the Dream House. More than 200 riders enjoyed the park’s trails from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The top fundraiser was Caity Cunningham, an 11-year-old girl who has herself overcome medical challenges. Cunningham, who rode the entire 12-mile trail, raised more than $2500 from 76 sponsors.

Maxxis employees volunteered at the event, acting as track marshals and manning the Maxxis booth, which offered games, water bottles, caps, and other goodies to visitors. The ride was covered by cable television’s Speed Channel.

Maxxis is pleased to support this worthy cause through sponsorship of a fun, family-oriented event. For more information about the Dream House for Medically Fragile Children, please visit www.dreamhouseforkids.org.
