Geoff Kabush of Team Maxxis won the Pro Elite mountain bike stage race, taking first place in both time trial and cross country, while Doug Ollerenshaw of Team Health Net presented by Maxxis won the final overall classification. Ollerenshaw’s teammates also did well overall, with Gordon Fraser in second place and Mike Sayers placing fifth.

Bart Brentjens of the European racing team Giant placed third overall in the cross country stage race. Brian Lopes won the mountain cross title, while Jared Graves of Team Yeti took third place and Steve Peat of Team Orange finished fifth. Rich Houseman of Team Yeti took fourth place in the dual slalom.

Team Maxxis’ John Kirkcaldie placed fifth in the downhill. Jared Graves won the gravity omnium and took first place in the downhill, while Steve Peat was second and Mick Hannah of Haro Bicycles was fourth. Hannah finished in third place in the gravity omnium, while Brian Lopes took fifth place. Siemens-Cannondale’s Cedric Gracia was sixth in the downhill and finished eighth in the gravity omnium.

Jill Kintner of Team Yeti won the women’s Mountain Cross title and took third place in the dual slalom.
