Scott Summers: Sometimes, Nice Guys Finish First
One of the racing world’s most accomplished motorcycle champions is also one of the most respected by his peers. Scott Summers not only wins like a champion – he behaves like one, too.

Comments like those in a story on motorcycledaily.com, where Summers is called “a great guy and a great ambassador for motorcycling” are typical. Summers, who has won multiple GNCC championships, has a long list of career highlights – and the grit to return to his career after two serious accidents forced a temporary retirement in 2001.

Summers has won 15 national class championships, three international gold medals and more than 69 national overall victories. While the after-effects of a broken femur proved to be too much several years ago, he battled back, returning to professional racing in 2003. Summers is now competing at age 37, healing from yet another serious injury - a broken collarbone – at a time when most bikers are considering retirement.

Returning as a Maxxis sponsored rider in 2005, Summers is expected to continue his highly successful career.
