MassWIT will hold our first-ever, full-day Women’s Leadership conference to honor International Women’s Day March 6, 2003 in Burlington, MA. We are issuing a Call For Papers and invite women in the technology field to participate in this international event.
The history of International Women's Day dates back to 1910 internationally. Women in the United States organized the first national Women's Day in 1908 and helped to inspire the international event. The day has been recognized as a time for asserting women's political and social rights, for reviewing the progress that women have made, and as a day for celebrating women.
“MassWIT will be recognizing International Women's Day by hosting a Women’s Leadership conference that will honor women across New England” said Suzanne Zellner, executive director of MassWIT. “We are lining up high profile keynote speakers and inviting women in the technology community to participate in this event by submitting an idea for a presentation, panel, or roundtable. Our audience is highly educated, professional women who work in all levels and functions in the technology community. We are very excited to be hosting this conference and plan to honor International Women’s Day annually.”

The Women’s Leadership International Women’s Day Conference will run three concurrent tracks with a mix of panel discussions, presentations and roundtable sessions.

SUBMIT YOUR PRESENTATION IDEAS:
This event presents a unique opportunity to be in front of 200 powerful, professional women from the local high tech community. Get your message out by presenting or by participating on a panel at this conference.
MassWIT will be accepting brief abstracts (60-75 words) with a speaker biography via email or in Microsoft Word attachment. If you are interested in participating on a panel, please identify the topics or issues that you would like to see in a panel session. Send abstracts or panel submissions to: deebrophy@attbi.com.
Deadline for all abstracts is Thursday, January 23rd, 2002. The International Women’s Day committee will review all abstracts and presenters will be notified by January 31, 2003
