Calvary Temple of Lynnfield, MA recently launched their marketplace ministry initiative, known as the 647 Club. Starting promptly at 6:47 AM at the Marriott Hotel in Peabody, MA, this gathering of men and women from the marketplace makes use of MNI materials as they explore faith-at-work issues. Led by Pastor Richard Vinson and several business people from Calvary Temple, this breakfast Bible study serves not only their local church but is also being used as an opportunity to reach out to the greater North Shore community. Kent Kusel and Randy Kilgore of Marketplace Network kicked off the study January 15, introducing the MNI Work-As-Ministry Framework, setting the stage for the studies in MNI’s publication, “30 Moments Christians Face in The Workplace.” “This approach serves as an excellent model for other communities to follow,” according to MNI President Kent Kusel, “particularly for those churches that purposely want to open themselves up to the surrounding workplace community.”
