E-mail marketing to account for larger portion of budgets

According to a Forrester Research study that was cited in the August 2001 issue of “Direct” magazine, e-mail marketing is expected to grow to become a larger segment of businesses’ online marketing budgets.

In 2000, about 25 percent of online marketing budgets went to e-mail marketing, according to the study. However, that number is expected to increase to 32 percent by 2005.
