Are your marketing communications efforts driving people to your website?
by M. H. "Mac" McIntosh

Have you figured out a way to track the people who visit your website back to the ad, direct mailing, email or other marketing communications effort that led them there?

Consider creating unique addresses (URLs) for each. For example, if your company's website address is www.widgets.com and you want to track visits from your email to widget users, you could use an address like www.widgets.com/user.

Then have your webmaster track the number of "hits" by the address each visitor used.
