Language Weaver and across Systems GmbH, a spin-off of the well-known Nero AG, Germany, have signed a co-marketing and technology integration agreement.
The cooperation will be launched concurrently on April 16 at AIIM Expo in Boston, MA, and at the Forum ITC in Hannover, Germany. AIIM Expo is a leading enterprise content and information management event; 2007 marks the first time it will have a Language Technology Pavillion. Forum ITC (International Technical Communication) is to be held within the scope of the worldwide leading industrial trade fair, Hannover Messe, Germany.
The across Language Server is a collaborative business solution for all language resources and translation processes, including a translation memory and terminology system as well as tools for project and workflow management. Using across Language Server, product managers, translators and proofreaders all work together within one system, either in-house or smoothly integrated with translation service providers. across will provide an interface for the Language Weaver integration, allowing its customers to opt for Language Weaver automated translation modules.
across and Language Weaver have entered into this partnership to provide international customers with a complete translation solution that goes beyond the benefits that either company could offer independently. The alliance expands Language Weaver’s presence in the international enterprise and translation services markets and adds statistical translation capabilities to across Systems functionality. across serves as a central platform for all language resources and translation processes, providing open interfaces to complementary products. The strategic partnership marks the first time across integrates statistically-driven translation. The integration covers all of Language Weaver’s translation modules. Language Weaver and across expect to collaborate closely to provide combined functionality to customers.
