Bucyrus to Acquire Terex Mining
South Milwaukee-based heavy mining equipent OEM Bucyrus International, Inc. has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the mining equipment business of Terex Corporation for US$1.3 billion in cash. The mining equipment business of Terex produces the world’s largest hydraulic excavators, rugged haul trucks, advanced drilling machines, and highwall mining systems including equipment under the O&K, Unit Rig, Reedrill, Superior Highwall, Halco, and Hypac.brand names.

Eastern Hemisphere Lube Base Oil Price Report
Crude oil prices rose last week, trading in a range of US$72-77 per barrel during the week, with light sweet crude oil closing at US$77.10 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange last Thursday, the last trading day before the Christmas holiday. Eastern hemisphere base oil prices again showed little change, with a slight upward bias, in the area of US$5-US$10 per MT.
