Mercury Quicksilver has unveiled a new line of powersports oils designed especially for motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles and personal watercraft.
A mid-May press release announced that Mercury had introduced this new line of powersports oils but offered minimal detail on these oils. OEM/Lube News was able to obtain the following detail on these five new synthetic oils from Mercury.
The new full synthetic Mercury Quicksilver Motorcycle 4-Stroke Oil meets API SF/SG/SJ/SL/SM and JASO MA requirements.and is available in two viscosities, SAE 10W40 and SAE 20W50. The Mercury Quicksilver Motorcycle 4-Stroke 10W40 Oil is recommended for all four-stroke motorcycles and scooters, including sport, dual sport and off-road bikes. The Mercury Quicksilver Motorcycle 4-Stroke 20W50 Oil is recommended for all V-Twin and large displacement engines.
The new full synthetic Mercury Quicksilver ATV/UTV 4-Stroke Oil meets API SF/SG/SJ/SL/SM requirements is available in a SAE 5W40 grade.
The new full synthetic Mercury Quicksilver Snowmobile 2-Stroke Oil meets JASO FD and ISO EGD requirements and is recommended for all two-stroke snowmobile engines.
The new full synthetic Mercury Quicksilver PWC 2-Stroke Oil meets JASO FD and ISO EGD requirements and is recommended for all personal watercraft and sport boat two-stroke engines.
The Quicksilver brand is owned by Mercury Marine, manufacturer of a line of marine engines that includes 2.5 horsepower outboards through 1350 horsepower sterndrives.

Mercury Marine told OEM/Lube News that a Quicksilver website will be up and running later this month.
Mercury Marine also markets 11 other oils, its line of Mercury Precision Lubricants for marine applications, specifically
