Lubrimetal Corporation, an Italian-owned company that produces metalworking lubricants announced last Friday it will build a new facility in Caldwell County, North Carolina. Lubrimetal says its new plant in Granite Falls, NC will employ 19 people and bring $1.9 million in investments over the next three years. Lubrimetal said the new plant will produce wet and dry lubricants for the drawing of steel and non-ferrous wires.
Lubrimetal specializes in the production of wire drawing lubricants.
The company's registered trademarks include LUBRIFIL® (dry lubricants) and LUBRIOL® (wet drawing oils). Its other trademarks include STEELFOR® and FOSFIL®.
Founded in 1959, Lubrimetal is one of the largest wire drawing lubricant manufacturers in the world, with factories located in Vercurago (Province of Lecco - lake Como, northern Italy), approximately 50 km northeast of Milan and in India (Peddington Lubrimetal Pvt.Ltd.).
