Loloma's Piolt Solar Project--Enpowerment Through Energy
by Jane Lenoard
EMPOWERMENT THROUGH ENERGY Without access to energy, developing nations are paralyzed in their ability to improve basic living conditions. Energy is needed to refrigerate medical supplies and pump fresh water from wells. It provides light for learning and access to computers, internet and communications technologies. It can expand a community’s economic base by extending hours for industry. Clean, renewable energy eliminates dependence on dangerous, expensive kerosene or petroleum products.

We Get Mail!
A letter of Thanks
From: Sister Patircia McLaughlin Sent: September 22, 2008 Subject: Thank You from Fiji
We have received so much from you that we fail at time to put on paper what your assistance has meant to us.
When I started to teach in the above school seven years ago there was not an extra pencil, pen, crayon, jotter and easer or sharpener was unheard of. If a child came to school without any of the above they spent the day without? I bought for my class but my heart went out to the other 700 in the school who went without. That is a thing of the past now thanks to your Educational Box that is received with joy each year in this school but in many others as well.
