Humanity Lends a Hand
Yasawa Island Mission, January 2009
by Linda Kwasny
We experienced the worst of times and the best of times on our January mission to Fiji.
Our arrival was perfectly aligned with the largest deluge of rain in 60 years, flooding the western side of Fiji in Nadi, destroying infrastructure and leaving many villages in the Yasawa Islands with no viable food from their crops. Partnering with Navutu Stars Resort we had an extremely productive mission.

However, Terry Holladay took photographs of the village and a village elder gave Linda Kwasny an excellent village plan including a thorough building inventory so progress was made.
